Nothing is more powerful than the eye of the storm. Have you found yours? Take the time to read this blog to find out.

Is it really simple, but not easy?

I hear this term a lot. They say it is simple but not easy. If you think positively magically all of your problems will just go away or you have to just follow this simple steps, and when you do it will work itself out, but I must warn you it is not easy.

I do get what is meant behind simple, but not easy. It does sound somewhat like a contradiction though. If it was as simple as just do a b c d and you will have your outcome, I would think most people would be able to follow a system like that, Wouldn’t you?

I know people are not inherently lazy, so why does it become so difficult for some to succeed while others do it. Many times we contribute it to grit and they just never gave up, but is there something more behind all of it?

I think a lot of times people do not know what to do. They may be giving it 100% and giving 100% going the wrong way, or just doing it the hard way can lead to frustration. Ignorance is hard, things become simple and easy with knowledge.

Find a leader

I can’t stress enough how important it is to find a great leader. In order to truly find your way it would be nice to have someone guide you where they have been and teach you the ropes. You don’t know what you don’t know, and it can take years to figure a new subject out on your own if you do not know where to start.

I love to use the analogy of riding a bike. There are so many underlining things people do not realize when it comes to learning how to ride a bike when you really take the time to think about it.

You have to have someone you trust who will help you hold the handlebars. You may have even started with training wheels first. If you feel during an attempt you would have that trusted person to let you know it was OK, and to try again. They may have road a bike in front of you just to show you what it was supposed to look like. After all of these things were done it was up to you to take the necessary action, and pick up the ability to do it.

Just think about all that support you had in the first place before you actually learned how to ride the bike. Sometimes we do not think about those things.

Success is taught

So knowing all of these things if you are looking to find success it is important to find the people you feel are successful to you. Learn from them, and develop your skill set. Like I said you don’t know what you don’t know, and a great leader may have struggled with the same ignorance you did in a particular skill as well.

Being honest with yourself and seeking out thought and action provoking leaders is absolutely important for growth.

What is the eye of the storm?

So what is the eye of the storm? Let me ask you have you ever seen an icon or a legend perform at such a high level it just left you in ah? They are using what I would like to call the eye of the storm. This is one of those crucial steps any great leader will teach a student under their wing.

The eye of the storm is the most powerful spot to be. That place where nothing is happening but everything is happening all at the same time. Some people call it the zone. It is a place where everything just seems to flow, and everything comes together. You are no longer competing with anyone else, you are only competing with yourself. Doing your best to be your best.

It sounds like a great place to be doesn’t it? This is where that simple and easy thing comes to play again. Some may ask how do I get to a place like that consistently. I will give you some pointers that will help you along the way.

Hang around people you feel are success, become friendly with them, ask questions, let them know what your ambitions are, read books, educate yourself in what you are trying to accomplish, make a plan, show that plan to a trusted source, take time to self reflect and understand yourself, learn you strengths and weaknesses, keep growing and developing.

I know that was a mouthful and that is why I think it is funny when people say it is simple, but not easy. You can make it simple and easy by gaining the necessary knowledge. By following the process and taking the necessary steps to get to where you need to go you will find your success. Once you learn the steps and the strategy, it is as easy as riding a bike just take the necessary action. You will get there because now you have the strategy necessary to get there.

Remember find your eye of the storm, it is a great place to be!

While I do agree on finding a guide for sucess its also for me, this my opinion but also trsut your self because you know its gonna be hard and its gonna take everything on your power in order to make it happen, I like the example you use with the bicicle but this also reminds me of my situation right now, some people might coach you but they dont see the vision your dream and you will be sadly mistaken and you dont want that at the end of your life, take with you the knowledge he or her it’s offering but in the future you might have to find another path and that path involves knowing different persons or adjusting something that wasnt cutting it out.

Absolutely agree, at the end of the day it all comes down to you. A solid leader gives you the frame work. If they are good at leading, the follower will one day become a leader in their own right and create what ever path they see fit. Thank you for commenting

I am fortunate that as a young Christian in college, I was mentored by a strong leader. He really helped me set a strong foundation.

Then I was lucky enough to find another strong leader after college. A semi-retired missionary who had lived for years in Asia. Working with him was a challenge, but it was a growth process.

And still, later, I found another mentor, a retired businessman at my church. Their life training truly was simple, but it was not easy. I can testify to that.
