Hello, welcome to my site. I have been a lot of things in life a son, a father, a husband, a family member, a friend, an athlete and many more. The most important thing I have realized being so many things to so many people is to be optimistic, have a plan, and take action. Life gets tricky some times, it will test you and see how durable you are, and after it is done testing you, it will test you again. If you are an optimist, have a plan and be a person of action and there will not be anything you cannot handle. Remember, there is greatness in you!

My STORY

When I was younger I had a biological dad leave me at the age of 5. I was a very heavyset kid in school where I got picked on for my weight, and I had my fair share of racist remarks as well. It’s tough being the kid who does not quite know why his dad left and why people could be so cruel. The good thing is I had a very supportive mom, and she remarried a very supportive man who I know and love as my true father to this day.

Things really started to change for me when I started to ignore all the noise and focus on being the best me that I could be. I really took the time to invest in myself and do right by myself. I read books, exercised, started eating right, made plans to do things, and took action on accomplishing my goals. Putting all of this things together made me happier, and I realized people actually started to treat me better. Everything started coming together for the better. Now this isn’t to say there are no hard times, but when they come I am ready for them!

Your Greatness

What I have learned as a person is the only person who can change you is you. I do know that having my family and the right friends on my side made the process a much easier one. Also, being optimistic, having a plan, and taking action is huge when it comes to getting to where you want in life.

Now optimism, planning, and action are more than just words though. It’s about practicing them, surrounding yourself with people who will help you implement them, and finding a way to be resourceful when you do not have the resources. Optimism is easy to be when times are good, but you have to practice it for when times are bad too. When life, friends, family, or whatever tells you that you cannot do something or be something. If it is in you to do it, and it is your destination, or passion, having the optimism and belief in yourself to be your best you, that is what it is all about. So remember to be optimistic, have a plan, and take action. Greatness is in you, and it is up to you to bring it out.

Goals

I am going to make a list because I believe it is easier but I always ask what do people want in life

1. To be the greatest you

2. To be happy

3. To enjoy their loved one’s

4. Love yourself

5. Respect yourself

6. Treat other’s the way you would want to be treated

7. Invest in yourself

8. Know that you can

9. Triple down on your strengths

10. Be your best you

So I ask you, what is it that you want in life?

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Clifford Starks

I appreciate how you dealt with your difficulties when your father left you by an unknown reason. All of us find security and defender when and during our helplessness.

Culturally, human has not overcome being racist and that evokes challenges to us. The good thing is that you have harnessed the good things in you.

I belong to the indigenous culture and I’ve seen and felt such derogatory treatment coined with self-accepted image until I saw myself out of the that image and started to assert my own person-hood and never feel inferior to other cultures.

Blessings to your endeavor on the online world.

Thank you for your comment Abagatan. It is true that racism and ignorance still exist. That’s why I feel it is so important for people to be educated on self awareness and also learn to empathize with one another more. I feel each culture has strength’s and weaknesses, and it is important to realize those weakness while complimenting one another’s strengths.

I hope you have a blessed day friend.

Hi Clifford, We connected on Wealthy Affiliates. You have a great niche and a good minimalist website. I expect to see it blossom with what you learn at WA.

Here in Hawaii, my kids grew up as minority and got their share of bullying despite all I could do. It made them more sensitive to the racism you experience on the mainland.

IMO, the internet provides us an unparalleled opportunity to build a business and in today’s economy everyone needs a business they can fall back on whenever bad things happen.

I’ll be watching your progress with interest. I’ll share with you some of the things I am doing when appropriate.

Hi Bill, Thank you for taking the time to check my site out. It has been a great experience so far and excited to see what the future holds. I am sorry to hear about what happened to your kids, and I do hope that they are in a better place in their life now. Being bullied is never fun.

Looking forward to connecting and learning more as I go through this journey.

      Blessing,
      Cliff

Hope you are doing well. I came across your blog through a Google Search and I have seen that the Quality and Quantity of the blog is amazing!

I want to start my own blog too and base it on Self Development as well.

Could you please advice me about how do I start with developing the content. I have a strong desire to get the blog up and running but I have the little hesitation about what the hell will I post and what posts should I start with.

I would be really grateful if you advice me about this and also provide me ways by which you began creating the content when you just started out!

This would help me out a lot. Thank you so much.
